In Hawai’i, DUI/OVUII charges are divided into two parts: administrative hearings with the Administrative Driver’s License Revocation Office (ADLRO) and criminal proceedings with a judge. Your license may be revoked either administratively and/or criminally. You are only allowed to drive legally on a revoked license if you install an approved Ignition Interlock Device in every vehicle that you drive along with having a valid Ignition Interlock Permit (IIP) and a valid government-issued photo ID.
