Celebrating, parties, fireworks and barbeques are all events associated with summer fun. However, these events can all be impacted when an impaired driver affects both themselves and others. Smart Start, Inc. wants to wish everyone a happy, healthy, and most of all SAFE weekend.

In 2013, more than 10,000 people died from alcohol related motor vehicle accidents. That is more than one person every hour. Someone’s mother, father, grandparent, child, sibling or best friend received a knock on the door from a police informing them that their loved one was not coming home. This is 100% preventable!

Remember that if you drink and drive, you place others and yourself at risk. If you do choose to drink, we encourage you to program a cab company’s number into your phone or ask a friend to be a designated driver. This allows everyone to have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
