DUI Checkpoint in Wasco

Saturday night, beginning at 8pm there will be a DUI Checkpoint in Wasco, California. DUI checkpoints aim to reduce the number of drunk drivers on the roadways. In reducing drunk drivers DUI checkpoints also reduce alcohol related crashes that result in injury or death.

The public is encouraged to call 911 if they see anyone whom they believe is driving impaired. Some indications of drunk driving include swerving, driving erratically, constant braking or stopping in a lane, wide turns, and bumping curbs or center dividers.
