DUI Checkpoint in Porterville

Police in Porterville will conduct a DUI checkpoint on Saturday night from 8pm to 3am within city limits. The exact location is unknown at this point. DUI Checkpoints are a proven deterrent for drunk driving, and help prevent injuries and deaths related to alcohol-related crashes.

Everyone is encouraged to report any drunk drivers they see on the road to 911. Drunk drivers can be identified as driving erratically, making wide turns, stopping suddenly, and bumping curbs or center dividers. Drive safely by designating a sober driver or using a taxi.
