Cinco de Mayo Checkpoints in Orange County

In an effort to save lives and remove drunk drivers from the road, authorities in Orange County will be rolling out several patrols for Cinco de Mayo. In Newport Beach there will be specialized saturation patrols.

These specialized saturation patrols in Newport Beach will begin at 7 PM and continue through the evening on Cinco de Mayo. These patrols will end at 3 AM tomorrow morning.

If you are celebrating Cinco de Mayo this evening make sure you travel safely. Designate a driver before you leave, or use a taxi or other driving service, like Uber or Lyft. These options are all less expensive than getting a DUI if you decide to drink and drive.
