Missouri Ignition Interlock Laws

In Missouri, you will be penalized from both the court and the Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR) for a DUI offense. For first and repeat DUI offenders, you may be required to install and maintain an Ignition Interlock Device (IID) in your vehicle if you…

  • Had a breath alcohol concentration (BAC) level of .08 or higher.
  • Are guilty of a second or subsequent DUI traffic offense.
  • Refused to take a drug or alcohol test from a police officer on your record.

*You will be responsible for all costs and installation services for the IID, and bring your vehicle in for regular monito ring and service.
** You may be eligible for a Limited Driving Privilege (LDP) if your driving privileges have been suspended and you cannot reinstate your license.
