Fremont DUI Checkpoint

On December 22, 2014, from 8PM to 1AM the Fremont Police Department will conduct a DUI Checkpoint. The exact location of the checkpoint has not been released, but we will update this blog when we find out where it will take place. Officers will be chekcing every driver who travels through the checkpoint for signs of intoxication. They will also be checking for valid driver’s licenses. Additionally, officers hope that the checkpoint will only delay drivers momentarily, especially if no one is drinking and driving.

Each year during the holiday season the number of drunk drivers skyrockets. This is especially discouraging because driving under the influence is very easy to avoid. If you are going to be drinking during this holiday season make sure you appoint a sober driver, or use a taxi. The last thing you want to do is make this holiday season a negative one for you or your family, or worse yet, someone else’s family.
