DUI Checkpoint Marina Del Rey

There will be a DUI Checkpoint tonight from 9pm to 2am in Marina Del Rey. This checkpoint will be stationed at Lincoln Blvd and Maxella Ave in Marina Del Rey. New Year’s Eve is always a jovial holiday, and you may want to celebrate with some champagne. If you have anything to drink this evening, even if it is just one drink, you should choose to be safe and either be sure you have a designated driver, or take a taxi.

Checkpoints are legal in the state of California and have proven to be very effective in reducing the number of drunk drivers on the road by both preventing drivers from getting behind the wheel if they have been drinking, and removing any drunk drivers from the roadways. Holidays are almost always a leader in DUI arrests, and authorities will be on the lookout for any and all drunk drivers. Be safe tonight and for the rest of 2015!!
